NYCFC will be without five players for their first match against New England Revolution this season.

Midfielder Alexander Ring will miss out due to yellow card accumulation after picking up his fifth of the season in the 43rd minute vs Atlanta this past Sunday.


Ronald Matarrita and Khiry Shelton remain injured, while Andrea Pirlo is questionable with a knee injury.


Yangel Herrera’s absence continues as he represents Venezuela in the U20 World Cup after he captained his team to their first-ever quarterfinal on Tuesday.


As for New England, there are no injuries to note, but both Benjamin Angoua and Andrew Farrell have returned having served their one-game suspensions. Juan Agudelo is also back into the mix after a two-game injury absence.
