New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo was named to the Guardian’s “The 100 best footballers in the world 2015” list.

Pirlo came in at number 42 and is the second MLS player to make the list (Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco).
Pirlo played 13 matches in 2015 for New York FC and started 12 of them. He registered five assists.
