Week 23 featured some absolute screamers from all around the league, and the hunt for the AT&T Goal of the Week has been narrowed down to five strikes. This week, two NYCFC players—David Villa and Jonathan Lewis—are in contention for the honors.

Lewis' first goal was definitely one he'll remember. The rookie shimmied his way past a couple of LA Galaxy defenders before curling a shot from outside the box off the underside of the crossbar and into the back of the net.

Not to be outdone, Villa would put a screamer of his own past Brian Rowe. After beating two LA defenders at the top of the 18, the skipper uncorked a left-footed effort that flew into the top corner, leaving the keeper no chance. That goal was Villa's 18th of the season, extending his lead atop the MLS Golden Boot leaderboard to two goals.
