2018: Jonathan Lewis’ sophomore season saw the young attacker earn 14 caps across 219 minutes, scoring 1 goal and assisting 3 times on the way to his second taste of the MLS Cup Playoffs. The winger spend time on loan under John Hackworth at USL side Louisville City FC in the fall. Lewis, along with Sean Johnson, was called in to Gregg Berhalter’s first camp as head coach of the national team.

2017: NYCFC’s first pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft came on strong in the second half of the season, appearing in a total of 11 matches and contributing two goals and an assist to City’s attack. Though NYCFC possesses a lot of firepower, Lewis could be primed for a breakthrough 2018 season, ala Jack Harrison.

Jonathan Lewis was named Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year after recording two goals and 12 assists at the University of Akron in 2016. The Florida native is a member of the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team camp called in preparation for the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.

Prior to Akron, Lewis played for Chicago Fire Academy, Plantation FC and Kendall SC. He scored 20 goals in 22 academy games playing for Kendall SC.
