NYCFC Hosts Special Events for Youth Soccer Partners

Youth Soccer Partners Event

New York City FC’s Youth Soccer partners have enjoyed a summer of soccer to remember in 2018.

In the midst of an unforgettable World Cup and five thrilling back-to-back home victories for the Boys in Blue, the Club has been hosting some very special events in and around the city.

Providing our partners with opportunities to learn from members of City Football Group’s leadership team, these presentations and roundtables have been a big hit with our loyal youth soccer partners.

On June 19, City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano and NYCFC President Jon Patricof hosted 22 members from the youth soccer partner program for a roundtable at NYCFC HQ in Manhattan, where they discussed their career backgrounds, the growth of NYCFC and fielded questions from attendees in a freeform Q&A.

On July 14, youth soccer partners were invited to a premium suite at Yankee Stadium for the showdown with Columbus Crew SC, where Jon Patricof and NYCFC Sporting Director Claudio Reyna were the special guests.

Providing background information on NYCFC’s strategy for growth in 2018 and discussing the growth of MLS and youth soccer in the U.S. this was an opportunity for the club to express gratitude for the incredible support of our partners in the tri-state area.

Coaches, volunteers and parents of youth soccer players were among our guests for the match in the Bronx and all enjoyed an evening to remember, mingling with two important members of the NYCFC leadership team and watching Domènec Torrent’s men secure another three points.

Sean Peckett, President & Director of Coaching at Queensborough United SC & Soccer Friends USA, was among the attendees.

Peckett said: “The meet and greet with Claudio Reyna was amazing. We had a blast meeting and getting pictures with the players, too!”

Anthony DeRubeis, a board member at Dunwoodie Youth Soccer Association, added: “It was an enormous privilege to meet with the Club President, Jon Patricof.

“I loved the gift and the time NYCFC took to meet with us. Myself and the coaches had a great time and Eli had a blast meeting and getting photos with the players – it was much appreciated.”

Be on the lookout for many more outings to come from the NYCFC youth soccer program this season. There is still time to become a NYCFC youth partner for the 2018 season and beyond. For any information on how to join please contact Thomas.French@nycfc.com in the front office.
