Spotlight: Jack Harrison vs Atlanta United

Spotlight Jack Harrison

Down 3-0 to Atlanta United at Bobby Dodd Stadium, Jack Harrison made the most of the chances that were given to him and restored some team pride in the 71st minute.

The energetic second-year winger showed once again why Vieira rates him so highly after putting in a great performance Sunday night.

He showed his potential and positive attitude and was awarded for his effort, scoring the deserving loan goal to a difficult match in Atlanta.

Key Moment

After 71 minutes of half-chances and desperate clearances by the home defense, the visiting team finally got on the scoreboard thanks to Jack Harrison.

Ben Sweat played a deep cross into the box where Jack Harrison met the ball on the full to calmly place into the net.

In Jack’s Words…

“We struggled to play and we made a couple of mistakes and they took advantage of that. We just can’t afford to do that in the future.

“They made it really hard for us to play. They finished their chances when they could and I think that was the biggest thing. As soon as they got the second goal and the third one, they gave us a big mountain to climb. So we just got to be wary of that in the future.

“The play came out where I’d rotate to the left hand side and Ben was on the right hand side on the counter attack and a brilliant ball found me on the back post and I was able to just pass it to the back of the net.
