NYCFC’s official squad numbers for 2017 have been released.
Starting with the goalkeepers, Sean Johnson takes up the no.1 jersey following his move from Chicago Fire in the offseason, while Eirik Johansen and Andre Rawls remain as 25 and 24 respectively.
In defense, Alexander Callens takes up the no.6 vacated by Fede Bravo, Ben Sweat replaces Jason Hernandez as no.2 and Kwame Awuah is the new no.14.
The rest of the defenders’ numbers are unchanged, meaning Ethan White is no.3, Maxime Chanot is no.4, Frederic Brillant is no.13, Ronald Matarrita retains no.22, RJ Allen stays as no.27 and Shannon Gomez is still no.52.
Moving onto the midfielders, Alexander Ring will bear the no.8 shirt, Maxi Moralez will wear the no.10, John Stertzer will be no.12, Jonathan Lewis has opted for the no.17, Rodney Wallace is no.23 and Yangel Herrera has gone for no.30.
Panamanian international Miguel Camargo will wear the highest of our squad numbers, the no.99, while Ugo Okoli has taken up the no.9 jersey last worn by Steven Mendoza.
Andrea Pirlo and David Villa remain as no.21 and no.7 respectively.
