Tommy McNamara has been featured in MLS’s Team of the Week for week one. The midfielder scored the first goal of the 2016 MLS season, which was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week, and an assist while creating four chances and maintaining a 93% passing percentage.

McNamara, whose go-to karaoke song is “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” is off to a strong start after a good preseason. During 2015, McNamara won MLS Team of the Week (Wk 14), MLS Goal of the Week (Wk 14) and NYCFC’s Player of the Month awards, and has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Year and several more MLS Goals of the Week awards.
