The XI | Three Changes for Toronto Clash

The XI Toronto

NYCFC is North of the border for tonight’s game as they prepare to face Toronto FC at BMO Field.

This is the Boys in Blue’s first game back after taking a week off for the international break. 10 NYCFC players were called up to report to national team duty around the world and there are three changes to the lineup which started vs. LAFC before the break.

Torrent has brought Jesus Medina, Ben Sweat and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi into the XI in place of Maxi Moralez, Ronald Matarrita and Taty Castellanos.

Moralez misses tonight's game as a precaution due to "lower leg tightness", per the Club's medical team.

Sweat, came on in the second half of the game against LAFC, and had a crucial assist resulting in a goal from Alexander Ring in the 62’ minute. Sweat returns to the starting lineup for third game this season, although he has played in all four.

Medina, who has also seen the pitch every week earned his second start for the season versus the Reds.

Another name making a comeback to the Starting XI is Ismael Tajouri-Shradi, who was listed as questionable against LAFC with an ankle injury. In NYCFC's last meeting with Toronto FC, Tajouri-Shradi netted two goals to top the Reds on their own turf. Let's see if he can do it again!
