Six NYCFC Players Called to Represent National Teams

InternationalOctober

Another FIFA international break, another host of call ups from the NYCFC first team.

The club representing the melting pot of the world will send Ben Sweat (USA), Ismael Tajouri-Shradi (Libya), Maxime Chanot (Luxembourg), Ronald Matarrita (Costa Rica), Jesus Medina (Paraguay), and Alex Callens (Peru) off to international duty for the FIFA International Date training camps scheduled across various competitions from October 8 to October 16.

Maxime Chanot looks to continue a strong run with Luxembourg in the UEFA Nations League, while Ismael Tajouri-Shradi returns to Africa Cup of Nations Qualification with Libya.

Back home on the ranch in North America, Alexander Callens makes his return to the Peruvian National Team, where he could face off against teammate Ben Sweat, who was called into the US Men’s National Team for the first time earlier this week.

Ronald Matarrita returns to Costa Rica camp for the first time since World Cup preparations, where he picked up an injury and was unfortunately unable to participate.
