Pirlo's Corner: Real American Boy

Andrea Pirlo corner kick

This week in Pirlo’s Corner, Andrea helps NYCFC to a key road victory in Seattle, soaks in more Euro action and mans the grill.
The Maestro fed a corner into the box in Saturday’s match against the Sounders to RJ Allen who sent a cross to Frank Lampard, and gave NYCFC a 1-0 advantage. NYCFC would go onto win 2-0, and the Club is now just 2 points back of the Philadelphia Union for first place.

After Saturday’s crucial victory, Pirlo headed home to New York where he relaxed and enjoyed Italy’s matchup against Spain in the Euro’s.

To Pirlo’s delight his former team went on to win 2-0 and Andrea celebrated the win with his son Niccolò.

Later in the week, Andrea got into the fourth of July spirit and grilled a few burgers like a "real American boy.”
