New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and Only NY are set to launch a new apparel collection with NYC Parks. All items spotlight the thriving presence of the World’s Game in New York City’s public spaces and represent essentials New Yorkers might bring to their favorite local park on a day out.
NYCFC Vice President of Marketing, Lauren Scrima, said: “Our celebration of New York City Parks continues with Only NY for a first-ever 3-way collaboration. All three collaborators have strong, genuine connections to representing and serving New York City, and I cannot wait to see all our NYC Parks inspired products at our matches and throughout the city.”
Only NY Co-Founders Micah Belamarich and Julian Goldstein, said: “We are thrilled to be able to take our NYC Parks collaboration and partner with another storied NY icon in New York City Football Club. Our partnership and product collection is a celebration of NYC and what the city's Parks mean to all New Yorkers.”
The design inspiration for the collection originated from the classic and old-school PSA cartoons from the 80s and 90s, vintage tourist merchandise, collegiate tees, patches and signage found throughout New York City’s parks. Collection items include buckle strap hats, short-sleeve tees, hoodies, a rugby shirt and water Nalgene.
The Only NY x NYCFC collection first drops tomorrow on August 22nd at its Release Party at Only NY’s Flagship Greenpoint Store, at 49 Franklin Street at 5pm ET. The event will feature guest appearances from First Team players Luis Barraza and Richy Ledezma in addition to complimentary food, beverages and raffle. The collection will then be available online on MLSStore.com and Only NY’s website starting August 24th and at NYCFC’s home match on August 30th while supplies last.
NYCFC’s collaboration with Only NY follows its recent collaboration with NYC Parks for its third kit, The Parks Kit. The new kit is an homage to and celebration of New York City’s parks, their history and the vital role they play for New Yorkers and the beautiful game.
