New York City Football Club (NYCFC) has teamed up with Guaraná Antarctica, the most famous soft drink of Brazil, to bring to life more fan events throughout the 2021 season and beyond.
Already a partner of the Brazilian National Soccer Team, Guaraná Antarctica is a brand with a passion for the sport in its roots. The new partnership with NYCFC will help further connect the large and growing Brazilian communities of New York City – and soccer fans across the five boroughs – to the Club and players they love.
“Guaraná Antarctica is a household name in Brazil, but in the U.S. we’re a challenger brand. We plan to go further, don’t settle for what we have, but to grow and aim higher. That’s also NYCFC’s spirit of competing, learning, and growing as a team. Becoming an official partner is like joining a winning squad,” explains Arthur Ervolino, Head of Exports for Non-Alcoholic Beverages at AmBev, Brazil. “We’re super happy to wear this jersey,” he adds.
The three Brazilian players on the NYCFC roster create further synergy between the team and the company and will help Guaraná Antarctica continue expanding the soft drink brand across the U.S. and reach new soccer fans.
To kick off the partnership, Guaraná Antarctica will serve as the presenting partner of “Festa do Brazil,” the Club’s first-ever Brazilian football festival. The event will take place at Upper 90 in Queens on Sunday, August 22 and give fans an opportunity to meet the Club’s newest Designated Player Talles Magno. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this will mark the first time fans will have access to the forward who was acquired from the Brazilian side Vasco Da Gama in April. Additionally, the two other Brazilian First team players, Héber and Thiago Andrade, will be onsite to meet and mingle with fans.
In addition to player meet-and-greets, fans will be able to participate in various activities at the event including a youth soccer tournament, photos opportunities, raffle prizing and other games while enjoying Guaraná Antarctica beverages, Brazilian BBQ and Brazilian beats from a local DJ.
Throughout the partnership, NYCFC and Guaraná Antartica will continue to co-create and activate at NYCFC fan events.
