New York City FC will begin their 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoff campaign on Wednesday, October 23 at Citi Field against Toronto FC with a 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
This exciting, single-elimination match – presented by Dumbo Moving and Storage – will mark NYCFC’s fourth consecutive playoff appearance.

Fans can head to the stadium early to attend the NYCFC Fanfest for face painting and giveaways including scarves, sunglasses, thundersticks and water bottles thanks to NYCFC partners Smile Direct Club, Dumbo Moving and Storage, Your Local Ford Stores and others.
The NYCFC Fanfest will also include musical performances for fans to rally together before the match.
Gates will open at 5:30pm at Citi Field where the first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive City Blue, white and orange, “Make It Here,” rally towels for their designated section.
NYCFC Team Captain, Alex Ring, shared his thoughts leading into the match:
“This season has been exciting for our entire team. We finished top of the Eastern Conference in the regular season, but our work is not done. We want more for our great fans, we want to lift the Cup for New York City. I am looking forward to taking the next step at our match on October 23.”
NYCFC has also incorporated various in-Stadium elements to bring fans more excitement during the Club’s biggest match of the season, including a special pyro-show to kick-off the match. NYPD officer Jason Martinoff will sing the National Anthem, Academica Argentina will be player escorts for the match and Paola Nilsen, a teacher from West Islip Senior High based in Long Island, New York will be honored as Community Hero of the Match.
