New York City Football Club is pleased to confirm that three of its players have been selected to represent their country this month.

Club Captain Sean Johnson has maintained his spot in Gregg Berhalter’s United States Men’s National Team ahead of a trio of World Cup Qualifiers that begins with a game against Mexico on Thursday. He is joined in the squad by James Sands, who is currently on loan at Rangers.

The pair will also face Costa Rica and Panama before the month is over as the USMNT look to secure their spot in Qatar later this year.

Elsewhere, defender Alex Callens is hoping to help Peru across the line and into the tournament as they prepare for two massive games.

Peru will take on Uruguay on Thursday before a meeting with Paraguay on Tuesday in their final qualifier. The latter may also see Callens reunite with former teammate Jesús Medina following his call-up to the Paraguayan national team.

The final player jetting off is Maxime Chanot. The veteran defender is part of the Luxembourg squad partaking in friendlies against Northern Ireland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Everyone at the Club would like to wish the players the best of luck with their respective national teams.
