Injury Report: Berget Upgraded to Questionable

Yangel Herrera and Cedric Hountondji are the only two definitively absent players from this weekend’s match against Columbus. Herrera is out for the year while recovering from knee surgery, while Cedric is still nursing a hamstring injury that occured during the US Open Cup in early June.
Jo Inge Berget has been upgraded to questionable as Isi Tajouri-Shradi and David Villa also face a possibility of returning on Saturday.


The remainder of Domenec Torrent’s squad remains healthy as the team plays their third match in seven days.

KEY STATS
•The all-time series (inc. postseason) is dead even between NYCFC and Columbus, with each
team winning three, losing three and drawing three.
•New York City FC has won four of their last six MLS matches (1L-1D), keeping three clean
sheets and allowing multiple goals just once. They had four clean sheets in their first 13
league games this year.
•Since winning their season opener 2-0 in Toronto, Columbus has scored just one road goal
in league play (1W-4L-3D).
•The Cityzens outshot Montreal by 20 in their 3-0 victory on Wednesday, tied for the largest
shot differential in a MLS game in the club’s history (inc. playoffs).
