The youth of South Bronx had the chance to meet and play soccer with NYCFC’s David Villa yesterday. The Spaniard participated in small sided games, passing drills and keepie uppies with players of all ages from South Bronx United. Over 50 kids from SBU enjoyed kicking around a soccer ball with a World Cup winner, witnessing his pinpoint passing and perfect ball control. After the young players showed off their skills, they took a group picture with Spain’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Villa will kick off NYCFC’s first-ever MLS campaign in 2015.
