Council Member Francisco Moya Kicks off Holiday Season with Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Queens, NY: This weekend, Council Member Francisco Moya kicked off the holiday season with his sixth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to help fight food insecurity and support healthier communities throughout Queens. New York City Football Club (NYCFC), alongside local small businesses, proudly supported Council Member Moya’s efforts and food donation events.

Brad Sims, NYCFC CEO, said: “We are grateful to work alongside a devoted community leader like Council Member Francisco Moya and for his steadfast support of his district and NYCFC. It’s in our Club’s DNA to support the communities in which we are proud to be based, and we’re honored to begin this season of giving by supporting Council Member Moya’s efforts in battling food insecurity. We look forward to working with Council Member Moya and his office throughout the holiday season and beyond to serve our communities.”

Council Member Moya’s Thanksgiving Food Drive events started on Friday in Corona, Queens, with NYCFC and its street team joining to support the event. Over a four-day period, Council Member Moya’s office will host five food drive and giveaway events in various neighborhoods throughout the borough, resulting in thousands of packets of fresh produce going to families in need during the holiday season. The final event will take place this Monday, 11/20 at LeFrak City, Junction Blvd and 58th Ave at 3:00pm.
