As NYCFC returns home on Wednesday to take on Chicago Fire and kick off this season's Borough Nights series, the team will be celebrating the Bronx to honor our home for the past five seasons. Here are the statistics on how the team and CITC have positively made an impact in the Bronx: 


Bronx Borough Night – CITC Stats


  • We have 15 sites in the Bronx where we host City in the Community health and education programs
  • 2 sites deliver the Healthy Hat-Trick curriculum to 600 youth
  • 2 sites where we deliver summer programming in partnership with City Parks Foundation
  • 13 Bronx-based young leaders trained this year to tackle social issues affecting their local communities using the power of soccer
  • 3 Bronx youth serve on the Youth Leadership Council (YLC)
  • 1 Bronx youth from the YLC will be traveling to Manchester for week long Young Leader Training
  • NYCFC opened 5 new community soccer pitches in the Bronx in 2018 as part of New York City Football Club
  • 7 Bronx mini pitches in total
  • 11 Bronx schools serving 4,344 youth
  • NYCFC staff have volunteered over 1,000 hours of service in the Bronx
  • New pitch openings in the Bronx
  • Thanksgiving Dinner at MBSCC (Mid Bronx Senior Citizens Council)
  • Park Cleanups at Jerome Slope
  • Over 500 tickets donated to the Bronx community as part of Bronx Borough Night
