Tommy McNamara started the 2016 season on fire. Tommy Mac has played 13 matches and started 12 of them. He has also registered three goals this season and collected four assists.
One of the most memorable goals for McNamara came in the first match of the season when he scored the first goal of the 2016 MLS season. McNamara knocked in a beautiful goal to kick off the season.

The midfielder has scored three goals and all of them have been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week. McNamara won the MLS Goal of the Week for Week Four. He scored on a header against New England on March 26. This would mark the first goal that McNamara scored with his head in MLS. McNamara was named to MLS team of the week once this season and was selected as Etihad Airways Player for the Month for March.
