Mix Diskerud has played in 12 at games at midfield this season for NYCFC, starting in 9 of those matches. The Norweigan-born midfielder has a goal and two assists in 2016, while creating 12 scoring chances.
In Week 1, Mix struck a cross from teammate Tommy McNamara into the back of the net to secure a win against the Chicago Fire. That week the 25-year old was nominated for MLS Goal of Week.

Diskerud has also proved to be a two-way player, recording 25 tackles and 9 interceptions. With a 75% passing accuracy, Mix has also been an efficient distributor of the ball.
