xi Philly

New York City FC is back in The Bronx to take on Philadelphia Union for the first time this season as the Club looks to extend their unbeaten streak to 13 matches.

With seven players out of the picture for this match through a combination of international duty and injuries, Dome Torrent has largely gone with the same system and XI as vs. D.C. in the Open Cup.

With Sean Johnson reporting to the USMNT for Gold Cup, Brad Stuver is back in net for the fourth consecutive match. Along with Johnson, Ronald Matarrita and Alex Callens are representing to their own respective national teams and in their absence, Sebastien Ibeagha, Maxime Chanot, and Alex Ring will be holding down the fort at the back.

Taty Castellanos is the only new name in the XI, replacing the teams leading goalscorer, HĂ©ber, who is out with the hamstring injury sustained in the capital. Tony Rocha, Joe Scally, and James Sands accompany HĂ©ber on the injured list.

Keaton Parks earns his third start for The Boys in Blue, filling in the spot in the midfield for Rocha. Ebenezer Ofori, who recently returned from the Ghanaian National team, is an option for Torrent on the substitute list.

As the Boys in Blue make their return to the Boogie Down, they will be facing off against the Eastern Conference leaders in tonight's matchup. Tune in to YES Network also you don't miss a minute of the excitement, #ForTheCity!
