NYCFC Homecoming 2019: Be There on March 4

2019 Homecoming Gala

New York City FC is delighted to announce that the Club will be holding a Homecoming Cocktail Party on March 4 to kick off the 2019 MLS season with proceeds benefiting City in the Community (CITC), the foundation supported by NYCFC.

Taking place at Ginny’s Supper Club at Red Rooster Harlem, this exclusive event offers fans the opportunity to spend the evening with the First Team squad prior to the Home Opener vs DC United. One hundred percent of the ticket sales will help CITC further its mission to harness the power of soccer and provide free programming to over 4,000 young New Yorkers every week.

Get to know some of the new faces on the team, interact with Head Coach Dome Torrent, and hang out with Chef Marcus Samuelsson, all while generating critical funds that will benefit kids throughout the five boroughs. The event will feature food and drinks, and access to a silent auction containing game-worn memorabilia and exclusive experiences. Cocktail attire is requested.

General Admission and VIP tickets are now available via this link in limited supplies, so book now to avoid disappointment. (Early bird pricing will be available until February 16th).  City Members will receive an exclusive discount code in their weekly newsletter.

VIP ticket buyers will have admission to the cocktail event as well as a private seated dinner with Sporting Director Claudio Reyna, NYCFC CEO Brad Sims, and select NYCFC players.

About CITC:

Since December 2014, CITC has harnessed the power of soccer to promote health, education and leadership development and create safe community spaces, where programming is free of charge. CITC received several recognitions in 2017 including the Major League Soccer (MLS) Community Team of the Year, and were finalists for the ESPN Humanitarian Team of the Year.  In 2018, CITC were runners up for the Robert Wood Johnson Sports Foundation Award for Professional Sports Team of the Year.  An independent study found that 69% of 11-19-year old’s felt the CITC programs “definitely” helped them stay in school or college, and 52% of older respondents in East Harlem said attending the program helped them reduce or prevent involvement in crime. $4.50 is the total return on investment in health benefits for every $1.00 spent on CITC programming. Programming includes:

  • Reducing crime and youth violence for over 300 kids with our Saturday Night Lights programs
  • Providing a healthy lifestyle curriculum used in 14 New York City public schools through the Healthy Hat Trick series
  • Training teens and young adults to become coaches and professionals through a Youth Leadership Council
  • Partnering with U.S. Soccer Foundation, adidas, The Mayors Fund and Etihad to help build 50 new mini-pitches across the New York City within 5 years; 20 pitches are in use today with more to come online this year.
