VOTE: Etihad Player of the Month for April

Player of the Month April

It was a pretty amazing April for NYCFC, as the Boys in Blue racked up wins over Real Salt Lake and Dallas at home, and earned a big road point in Atlanta. These are the guys that got it done… your nominees for the Etihad Airways Player of the Month for April 2018:

David Villa

David Villa scored his 400th goal for club and country, the first of his brace vs. Dallas at the end of the month. The captain also came off the bench to score an all-important penalty in Atlanta. Outside of the goals, it’s the relentless pressing and leadership that Villa has brought back from his short time out injured that makes his impact even greater.

Maxi Moralez

Maxi’s stupendous start isn’t stopping. The #10 put up a goal and an assist vs. Salt Lake, and has gone all 90 in the rest of the month’s games. Year 2 Maxi just keeps getting better and better.

Jesus Medina

The new kid continues to impress coaches, pundits, and fans around the league. He scored his first Yankee Stadium goal on April 29 vs. FC Dallas, in addition to an assist vs. Salt Lake on April 11. The constant threat he poses on the wing, in addition to his ability to slide into the striker position has made him super valuable this month.

Sean Johnson

Another clean sheet for Sean Johnson, 13 more saves, and 7 points. Another solid month for the guy with the saves.
