It was as big a regular season away goal as we’ve seen in the short history of New York City FC – in terms of distance, power, and magnitude.
But it wasn’t just the strike that was seemingly shot out of a cannon from The Ringleader. The Finnish fire-ball reassumed his position at the fulcrum of the midfield with great authority – earning Man of the Match honors after an all-action performance featuring 97 touches, a 92% pass completion rate, 9 duels won, 4 aerials won, 5 clearances, 4 interceptions, 3 tackles, 2 blocks, and 9 recoveries… a big one on Almiron early in the first half comes to mind:

Though it was the golazo – the Ring of the Bell (or the bar if you will…) that will garner the headlines. And rightly so! Just watch again:
Even if the next one doesn’t come as fast or hard, it’s great to have Ring back #ForTheCity
