Injury Report: Fighting for First XI

Injury Report Alex Ring

Patrick Vieira is closer to having a full arsenal at his disposal as NYCFC prepares for the first two-game week of the 2018 season.

David Villa and Alexander Ring have been upgraded to ‘Questionable’ ahead of Real Salt Lake’s visit to Yankee Stadium, a scary sight for opponents who have struggled to deal with NYC even without those two major stars.

In their absence, NYC has gone on to defeat Orlando City at home, tie New England Revolution on the road, and take down San Jose in California as Villa was forced out as a late scratch due to his injury.

In their absence, newcomers Ismael Tajouri-Shradi & Ebenezer Ofori have been able to fill in up front and in the fulcrum of the midfield to great effect.

The only member of the squad who is officially out is Kwame Awuah – who has made a couple of appearances on the young season so far.

The NYCFC coaching staff will be licking their chops at the selection possibilities for tomorrow…
