Internationals: Six Players Summoned

While Yangel Herrera has been leading Venezuela from strength to strength at the U20 World Cup in South Korea – a few full internationals will be departing the New York City FC camp for the next round of friendlies and World Cup qualifiers.


NYCFC rookie Kwame Awuah has received his first call-up for the Canadian Men’s National Team – who will participate in a home send-off friendly match in Montreal on June 13th vs. Curacao as part of the team’s build up to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Staying in CONCACAF – Miguel Camargo of Panama has also been called in for his home nation’s World Cup qualifiers vs. Costa Rica (June 8) and Honduras (June 13)


Joining the young blues on international duty will be Ronald Matarrita and Rodney Wallace - who have been recalled by Costa Rica for their home World Cup qualifiers next month vs. Panama and Miguel Camargo (June 8) and Trinidad & Tobago (June 13).


Finishing up on the other side of the Atlantic – defender Maxime Chanot has been called in for Luxembourg’s June qualifier against the Netherlands.
