On Earth Day, April 22, NYCFC partnered with GrowNYC for a volunteer event in the South Bronx.
Fans and staff of NYCFC joined GrowNYC Zero Waste Programs for a day of activities, music, eco-centric "edutainment", and information on recycling and other environmental issues at the 8th Annual South Bronx Earth Fest.
Volunteers helped with engaging families in environmental activities and games, helped assemble 200 Fresh Food Boxes that provided residents with local produce, and monitored recycling stations at the event.
