Internationals: Five NYCFC Players Summoned

Internationals March 2017

NYCFC have two representatives in the latest Costa Rica squad.

Ronald Matarrita and Rodney Wallace have both been called up to represent their nation in a pair of FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.

The duo will both hope to make it an all-NYCFC left side in crucial matches against Mexico and Honduras on March 24 and 28 respectively.

Los Ticos are out to continue their excellent start to CONCACAF Hexagonal qualifying and stay at the top of the Final Round rankings following their two wins out of two versus Trinidad and Tobago and United States.

Matarrita will hope to add to his 17 international caps to date – the same number as Rodney Wallace who made his last appearance for his nation in November.

Elsewhere, Miguel Camargo has been selected by Panama National Team Head Coach for their qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and United States on March 24 and 28 respectively.

Panama lie in third place in “The Hex”, having earned one win and one draw from their two games to date.

In Europe, Maxime Chanot will represent Luxembourg in games against France and Cape Verde on 25 and 28 March, while Alex Ring is in the Finland’s next squad for the game against Turkey, as reported earlier in the week.
