What’s been stacking up those #numbers online this week? It’s time to crank open the vault and find out…
Only one place to start this week, with the video every MLS team’s FO will be talking about this morning.
It’s fair to say LA Galaxy were none-too-pleased with the antics of Diego Chara in their defeat to Portland Timbers last weekend, feeling as though the midfielder dived to get Jelle van Damme his red card.
As penance, they spent the next two days and nights on After Effects, proving that revenge is a dish best-served meme’d… well, kind of… Chara did score the winning goal in the game.
Let's call it a tie.
There were some amazing goals scored last weekend across the globe (including four at Yankee Stadium) but this eye-popper from Memphis Depay for Lyon was easily the most shared!
Leave it to Xabi Alonso to announce his impending retirement in a matter befitting of his classy, composed appearances on the field. What a player.

David Villa saluted his former teammate at NYCFC’s media day last week.
El Guaje said: “He was my teammate in the national team and I’m little bit surprised because he’s good and doing very well with Bayern Munich.
“But he decided this and I say thank you, not only for being my friend but also my teammate in football and for what he has achieved throughout his career.
“Thank you so much for growing football with your ability and attitude.”
How Did He Miss?
Time for our almost weekly pilgrimage to the English non-league circuit for one of the most toe-curlingly bad misses you’ll ever see.
A Bronx Tale
Finally, an article from Will Parchman, entitled “Patrick Vieira, NYCFC back to romancing the Bronx in 2017.”
We were sold from the title alone, to be honest, but this is a lofty old read on idealism and romanticism which is well worth training your peepers on…
