NYCFC have taken Kwame Awuah in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
The 21-year old Canadian became the club’s second acquisition of the draft, following Jonathan Lewis to the club.
NYCFC took Awuah in the 16th pick of the SuperDraft, following a trade of $75k in GAM with Seattle Sounders.
The versatile youngster, who can play in defense or midfield, started all 19 games for the UConn Huskies in 2016 as a senior, scoring two goals and assisting seven.
A Toronto native, Kwame has also represented his country at youth level.
