New York City FC at Vancouver: Match Preview

New York City FC square off against Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday at 10 p.m. ET (YES Network, FOX Sports GO, WQBU) in what will prove to be a crucial match for a continued playoff push for the Club.
Saturday will be the first time the two teams have met in any competition. Similarly, it will be the first time head coaches Jason Kreis and Carl Robinson go head-to-head despite managing 267 and 63 games, respectively, in MLS.
The Club will be looking to build off its back-to-back wins against Toronto FC and San Jose Earthquakes.

“We can’t afford to drop any points,” said defender Shay Facey. “We need to come away with all three (points) out of the last four of our games.”
“We’re just going there looking for three points, that’s it,” midfielder Andrew Jacobson said. Whatever we’ve got to do to get the win, that’s what we’re going to do.”
Head coach Jason Kreis added, “They don’t get any bigger. We know we go there with the attitude that we need three points.”
David Villa ranks third in the race for the MLS golden boot and will be looking to add to his tally of 16 goals this season.

The game marks a return by New York City FC players Mehdi Ballouchy and Jeb Brovsky to their former club.
The match will take place at B.C. Place in front of a sellout crowd of 21,000.
Kickoff is 10 p.m. ET (YES Network, FOX Sports GO, WQBU).
