New York City FC midfielder Andrew Jacobson found the back of the net for the first time in more than two years in the 2-1 loss to Columbus Crew SC on August 29 at Yankee Stadium. The 29-year-old unleashed a rocket from 25 yards out that knotted the game at 1-1 in the 29th minute.
The strike was nominated for Major League Soccer Goal of the Week (Week 26).
It was Jacobson's first goal since June 22, 2013 and his sixth in MLS.
