New York City FC forward Adam Nemec has been called up by the Slovak National Team for their European Championship Qualifier against Macedonia on June 14 in Žilina.
Slovakia, which sits atop Group C with a perfect 5-0-0 record (15 points), is most recently coming off a 3-0 victory over Luxembourg on March 27. Nemec scored his third goal for his country in the win. Nemec also scored in Slovakia's prior meeting (2-0 win) with Macedonia on Nov. 15, 2014.
The 29-year-old, who signed with New York City FC on Feb. 2, has made eight appearances for the Club in their inaugural season in Major League Soccer.
