New York City FC launches Cityzens Giving

The period to pledge $8 to charity soccer projects has closed. Thank you, Season Ticket Holders, for giving the gift of football.

New York City FC is launching Cityzens Giving, a brand new program funded by our annual revenues, that allows New York City FC Season Ticket Holders to extend the ‘football effect’ to areas of need across the globe.

Every season ticket holder has been given $8 to invest in six charity football projects – run by young people for young people – that use the beautiful game to tackle difficult and damaging problems and social issues today.

If you’re a season ticket holder, log in to the portal to give the gift of football by pledging your charity fund to the Cityzens Giving projects that inspire you most.

  • Barranquilla: Using the power of football to divert young people away from drugs and gangs.

  • Cape Town: Uplifting girls in the Khayelitsha township through football by educating them on HIV, providing financial literacy and coaching qualifications.
  • Kuala Lumpur: Using football to get young people who dropped out of school back into education.

  • Manchester: Using football to connect marginalized young people with training and job opportunities.

  • Melbourne: Using football to combat isolation and loneliness amongst socially excluded young people.

  • New York: Promoting healthy lifestyles and tackling obesity through football.

The window to pledge your support closes on Wednesday, December 24th.

If you’re not a season ticket holder, you can also show your support in the following ways:

  • Spread the word about the projects and learn more about our New York charity partners:
