New York City FC season ticket holders, will have the opportunity to see their faces displayed within the numbers on players’ jerseys in August 2015 as part of a new MLS initiative, announced in October.
When the program launches, participating Season Ticket Members will be able to select a jersey number (0-9), and the location within that number, to upload their photo.
During regular season games in that month, all NYCFC jerseys will feature 5,000 images of their season ticket account holders across the players’ squad numbers. The Club’s first 5,000 season ticket accounts will each get the opportunity to have one image on the back of the jersey.
Leading up to that month at a date to be determined after the start of the season, all fans will have the opportunity to customize their jerseys with these special numbers at Yankee Stadium which will be the exclusive location where these numbers will be available.
NYCFC recently announced they had passed 10,000 season ticket sales, which comprise 4,800 current season ticket accounts. The next 200 season ticket accounts to join the club will have the opportunity to participate in the program with all existing season ticket account holders.
