2017: Anton is the reigning 2017 Allsvenskan Defender of the Year after he played a key role in helping Malmo to clinch back-to-back titles in October.

2014 - 2017: Tinnerholm signed for reigning Swedish champions Malmö FF in 2014. Anton played regularly for the club and helped Malmo to the group stages of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League where he faced off against Real Madrid, PSG and Shakhtar Donetsk.

2008 - 2014: Anton moved to Åtvidaberg in 2008 to play professionally for Åtvidabergs FF, one of the larger clubs in the country. He featured in more than 100 games and helped his team win the Superettan league in 2011.

Youth: Tinnerholm represented Brokinds IF and IK Ostria Lambohov at the youth level. 


2015 - Present: Tinnerholm is a Sweden international - he had earned seven caps at the time he signed for NYCFC.
