The XI | Rocha and Sweat Start vs. Vancouver

The XI vs Vancouver cover

New York City FC take on the Vancouver Whitecaps tonight aiming to make it four consecutive MLS wins.

Attempting to keep the pressure on at the Eastern Conference summit, Head Coach Dome Torrent has made two changes to the lineup which kicked off the Hudson River Derby win over Red Bulls last Sunday.

With both Ronald Matarrita and Alex Ring suspended following the derby, Ben Sweat and Tony Rocha come into the reckoning at left-back and center midfield respectively.

There are places for Juan Pablo Torres and Justin Haak on the bench, with Ebenezer Ofori, James Sands, Joe Scally and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi all still on the sidelines through injury.

Up front, Taty Castellanos, Héber and Maxi Moralez look to add to the 18 assists and goals racked up between them through the month of August.

The Boys in Blue meet a Vancouver side looking to move off the bottom of the Western Conference after losing to Montreal at the Stade Saputo in midweek.

It’s a 10pm ET kick-off for this one which will be broadcast live on the YES Network and on the FSGo App, with radio commentary available in English or Spanish at NYCFC.com/Radio.

NYCFC XI: Johnson, Tinnerholm, Chanot (C), Callens, Sweat, Rocha, Parks, Moralez, Mitriță, Castellanos, Héber
