VOTE | Etihad Player of the Month for March

March 2023 POTM

Here are your nominees for the Etihad Player of the Month for March 2023.

Keaton Parks

The midfielder is aiming for a big 2023, and his start has certainly set him on that path.

Parks is a smooth passer with the ability to break the lines, and NYCFC fans saw that firsthand in March. His shining moment of the month came against D.C. United where Parks sliced the opposition defence with a pass out wide to Braian Cufré.

The defender squared it for Talles Magno to convert and set NYCFC en-route to a 3-0 victory.

James Sands

The guy from Rye returned to New York City FC in March after a loan spell in Scotland with Rangers.

Slotting seamlessly into the midfield, he quickly showed his versatility by dropping into the heart of the defence against Houston Dynamo.

A composed tempo setter that helps the team establish a rhythm in possession, Sands return to the Bronx has been universally welcomed by fans. He will now be keen to build on this strong month with more good form with the Boys in Blue.

Santiago Rodríguez

The Uruguayan made his long-awaited return to the Bronx this month to sign a permanent deal.

Handed the number 10 jersey, previously worn by teammate Maxi Moralez, Rodríguez has embraced the challenge with enthusiasm.

Fans saw an early reminder of what Rodríguez can do against D.C. United in the Boogie Down Bronx. A goal and an assist personified his quality and handed NYCFC their second win of the season.
