VOTE | Etihad Player of the Month for July

English_Digital Matchday Programme_2560x1440

Here are your nominees for the Etihad Player of the Month in July 2021.

Keaton Parks

The native of Plano, Texas, deserves to be nominated just for his dolphin celebration against Columbus Crew, but in truth July saw him offer the team so much more than just that. Parks remains a talented passer of the ball, able to stitch together defense and attack, but July saw him add goals to his game. Strikes against CF Montréal and Columbus Crew showed he is ready to be a greater goal threat in the final third, as well as a selection for POTM.

Maxi Moralez

The veteran playmaker is aging like a fine wine from Mendoza, and that has seen NYCFC benefit in the month of July. The 34-year-old played almost every minute of the club’s five games this month, and registered one goal and two assists. He was instrumental in the 5-0 win against Orlando City SC, as well as the 4-1 success against Columbus Crew.

Jesús Medina

The Paraguayan currently leads the team for goals this season, and boosted his tally further in July. Medina did not play as many minutes as previous months, but that didn’t stop him finding the back of the net. Goals away against Columbus and at home to Orlando came at important moments in the game, while he also managed to notch an assist against the Crew at Yankee Stadium.
