New York, N.Y. (April 7, 2023) - New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and Prime Food Distributor (PFD) today announced a new partnership, naming PFD as the Official NYCFC Academy Training Kit Sleeve Partner. The agreement will also see PFD become the Official Premium Meat Distributor of the Club.

PFD is a New York-based premium meat purveyor and one of the largest independent processors of USDA Prime Beef in the nation. Driven by the desire to be the world’s foremost producer of quality steaks and proteins, PFD distributes its products nationally and globally, with a focus on quality and all the aspects associated with crafting premium proteins.

PFD's partnership with NYCFC expands on the distributor’s investment in local New York youth soccer and will now see its logo featured on the right sleeve of NYCFC Academy teams’ training kits.

John Kosmidis, PFD Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with NYCFC in support of youth and professional soccer in New York. Our love for our youth, sports, hospitality and the quality of the NYCFC Team made the decision to partner very easy for us. We’re excited to contribute and build on the wonderful foundation our partners at NYCFC have created.”

Andres Gonzalez, NYCFC Vice President of Partnerships, added: “PFD has a history of investing in youth soccer in New York, and we’re thrilled to have them joining as our Academy’s Official Training Kit Sleeve Partner. NYCFC Academy teams are composed of the most talented players from the New York Metropolitan area and partners like PFD will enable us to continue investing in the development of youth players in the city.”
