Poku celebrates his first goal against the Cosmos

Kwadwo Poku has been a fan favorite all season long.


The New York City rookie midfielder's following has only increased with his play of late. Poku scored two goals in the Club's 4-3 penalty kick loss to the New York Cosmos in the U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round on Wednesday evening at Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y.


Poku's overhead kick put New York City FC ahead 1-0 in the 24th minute and his clinical finish in the 57th put the visitors ahead by two. Poku has three goals in the last two matches (all competitions).
