MLS Disciplinary Committee Rescinds Jack Harrison Red Card

Jack Harrison vs Red Bulls

The Independent Panel, consisting of one representative from the United States Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one representative from the Professional Referee Organization, has unanimously rescinded the one-game suspension and accompanying fine for the red card issued to New York City FC midfield Jack Harrison for serious foul play in the 26th minute of NYCFC’s match against the New England Revolution on October 15.

As a result of the NYCFC appeal, Harrison will be eligible to play in NYCFC’s next regular season match against Columbus Crew SC on October 22. Each Club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including playoffs. Since NYCFC’s appeal was successful, the team maintains two unsuccessful appeals for any future dismissals in the 2017 season.

Jack looks to continue his fantastic sophomore season this Sunday after tallying a career high 10 goals along with 6 assists and earning a call up to the England U-21 Young Lions for U-21 European Championship qualifying.

Tickets for Sunday at Citi Field are now on sale to the public. Purchase your tickets below.
