Maxi Moralez Makes His MLS All-Star Debut

Maxi Allstar

New York City FC’s #10 made his MLS All-Star debut a little later than expected tonight in Orlando.

The annual summer showpiece match that pits the best of East and West vs. a foreign giant, this year a reloaded Atletico Madrid side, was delayed due to inclement weather and did not kick off until 8:42 pm ET.

When it did there were no shortage of fireworks, with a starting MLS lineup, as below, with Maxi on the bench…

Our Spiderman made his debut as a halftime substitute displaying his trademark slick passing across the slippery surface at Exploria Stadium.

He came off in the 73rd minute unscathed and a newly minted MLS All-Star.

Well played, Maxi!

Atletico Madrid topped the MLS All-Stars 3-0 with goals from Rodrigo Riquelme, João Felix, and Deigo Costa.

Moralez returns home to rejoin his club as they resume their MLS Regular Season campaign. NYCFC heads to Utah to take on Real Salt Lake on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET.
