New York City FC goalkeeper Josh Saunders has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week for week four.
Saunders had three saves against New England, one of which has been nominated. In the 49th minute, New England’s midfielder Diego Fagundez streaked past the NYCFC defense on the right side of the field and found himself one-on-one with Saunders. Fagundez fired the ball towards the net and Saunders dove to his right and made the save to keep the match even at one.
Saunders goes up against FC Dallas keeper, Chris Seitz, in round one.
