New York City Football Club is delighted to confirm that goalkeeper and Club Captain Sean Johnson has been selected as part of a 26-man roster to represent the United States' Men's National Team in games against Japan and Saudi Arabia this month.

Johnson, 33, has been in fine form for NYCFC this season registering 13 clean sheets - tied for first in MLS - and that has not gone unnoticed by USMNT Head Coach Gregg Berhalter.

The shot-stopper was called up to Berhalter's squad at the start of 2022 for a trio of World Cup qualifiers against Canada, El Salvador, and Honduras but did not see any action on the field.

He returned to the fold for a pair of friendlies in June against Morocco and Uruguay and played the full 90 minutes against La Celeste, producing a string of fabulous saves to record a clean sheet.

That reliability saw him included as part of two Concacaf Nations League squads just days later, and he will now suit up again this month as the USMNT take on Japan on September 23 and Saudi Arabia on September 27.

The game against Japan will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN+ as well as UniMás and TUDN with kick off set for 8:26AM EST.

Four days later, the USMNT will meet Saudi Arabia, with the game broadcast on FS1, UniMás, and TUDN, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00PM EST.
