Holly said: “It’s an honor to be able to represent NYCFC and this City once again. I’m excited to be teaming up with Gustavo, I feel like our playing styles complement each other and can form a formidable force in this League. I look forward to competing in the FIFAe Club World Cup Qualifiers this February and replicating the success I had during my first stint with the Club. To be able to bring more silverware to the Club alongside Gustavo is a huge desire of mine.”

Nascimento enters his second season with the Club and will anchor a strong partnership with Holly. The Brazilian native was named the North America FIFA Global Series champion in 2021 ending the season ranked number one in North America.

Nascimento said of re-signing for 2023 and the partnership with Holly: “I am really looking forward to the start of the new season. To welcome back Chris has been great, I am thrilled at the opportunity to play alongside him. Our styles of play complement each other and we look forward to competing for championships together starting with the FIFAe Club World Cup Qualifiers. I have enjoyed being in New York and will continue to represent this City and Club proudly.”

In addition, the new tandem will then look to compete in the FIFAe Club World Cup Qualifiers, a 2v2 online FIFA qualifiers, from February to April, facing off against top competition around the globe including other MLS sides, all vying to earn a spot in this summer’s FIFAe Club World Cup.
