Holly said: “It’s an honor to be able to represent NYCFC and this City once again. I’m excited to be teaming up with Gustavo, I feel like our playing styles complement each other and can form a formidable force in this League. I look forward to competing in the FIFAe Club World Cup Qualifiers this February and replicating the success I had during my first stint with the Club. To be able to bring more silverware to the Club alongside Gustavo is a huge desire of mine.”
Chris “DidyChrislito” Holly made history in 2017 when he signed for New York City FC and became the first-ever professional gamer in MLS history.
Born in the United States, Holly spent a large part of his childhood living in Haiti, where much of his family hails from. He returned to New York in 2010 and has been living in Hempstead ever since.
Holly’s association with FIFA started in 2005 on the PS2, where he would often play alongside his brother and often rack up 25 hours of playtime a week.
Speaking in 2017, Holly said: “It’s an honor to represent NYCFC. It’s a chance of a lifetime, I’m really excited and looking forward to the future.”
Reflecting on his play-style, Holly said: “I would describe my game as mostly freestyle. I don’t really have a set play; I adjust to what my opponent does.
“For people who want to get better at FIFA, my advice is to keep practicing, watch videos of other pro players to see what they do and try to implement that in your game.”
