As we enter our historic inaugural season, New York City FC are pleased to begin accepting Media credential applications for 2015 home games to be played at Yankee Stadium. Applications can be made by e-mailing the New York City FC media relations office at email@example.com. All requests must be sent by a sports assignment editor on behalf of their staff. This the only acceptable method for requesting credentials. Applications must be received 48 hours in advance of each individual match.
Please note that holders of pre-issued Universal Major League Soccer credentials will still need to inform us of your attendance in the week prior to the match. We will then prepare a New York City FC, Yankee Stadium pass for you that will be available for you to collect at the same credential collection point.
Please also note that pre-issued baseball BBWAA cards, New York Yankees credentials and Major League Baseball-issued credentials will not be honored for NYCFC matches at Yankee Stadium.
In your e-mail, please include the name, job description (i.e. – writer, photographer, cameraperson, etc.) and affiliation of all individuals from your media entity who plan on attending a particular match.
On the day of the match, the press gate (located on 161st Street and Jerome Avenue, between the Gate 4 main entrance and the will call windows) will open to media three hours prior to kickoff. A separate document with some helpful Yankee Stadium guidelines for these matches will be e-mailed to all media that have been approved for a credential.
For all matches at Yankee Stadium, media members are recommended to park (at cost) in the Ruppert Plaza Garage, located on 161st Street and the Macombs Dam Bridge ramp – across from Gate 4. The Ruppert Plaza Garage will be the only garage surrounding Yankee Stadium that will open four hours prior to kickoff and remain open up until three hours after the conclusion of each match.
Media outlets requesting a designated phone line for New York City FC matches at Yankee Stadium must e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, March 12.
We look forward to working with you in our inaugural season.
