New York City FC and TOCA Team Up

NYCFC Toca Lock Up

New York City FC has teamed up with TOCA Football, a world-leading soccer technology company that produces training products that dramatically improve technique, performance, and engagement for players of all ages.

As part of this new partnership, NYCFC will integrate TOCA Training into its first-team and academy training programs and will also employ the models in injury rehabilitation and marketing activities.

Founded in 2012 by former US Men’s National Team forward Eddie Lewis, TOCA came into existence in 2012 and operates out of Orange County, California.

NYCFC Sporting Director Claudio Reyna said: “It was five or six years ago that Eddie shared with me the idea that today is the TOCA Touch Trainer.

“Right away it made sense to me - I saw one of the first models and saw it was all about repetition. It didn’t exist anywhere and I thought it was a no-brainer for players to use to try to progress.

“It’s going to be a training tool for the players to work on individual touches and it’s going to be something that all the coaches are going to be excited to use in the academy.”

Eddie Lewis, TOCA Founder and President Eddie Lewis, said: "NYCFC's technical staff, led by Claudio Reyna, provide an experienced backdrop for the implementation of the TOCA system.

“We look forward to helping develop and rehabilitate the NYCFC first team and academy players, as well as partnering on outreach projects.

“The opportunity to work with NYCFC demonstrates TOCA's aspirations to engage with some of the biggest brands in the game."
